I worked for two years as a machine learning/computer vision engineer in a startup specializing in creating tools for radiologists for faster and more accurate annotation of CT (computed tomography) scans.

This article is the summary of what I learned about how radiologists operate, what is the state and challenges of AI adoption, and what are the areas where value could be created.

I think AI has a bright future in radiology for the simple reason that it will be able to take the full dynamic range of each pixel/voxel into account.
