The interesting thing about “Algvandringen” is that you can hear “Elk wandering” in it, showing the evolutionary similarities of two Germanic languages.

Älg and Elk are really quite similar words. Ä and E are very close in swedish.

And 120 years ago Älg would have been written Elg [1].

Elk meant moose until English speakers came to north America and started calling wapitis for elk. A lot of animals in areas that was colonized are named like that.

I can't help but feel they may have missed the bulk of them.

It's been a very early spring this year, we've been seeing weather that's probably 4-6 weeks ahead of the normal curve since March.
